About this role in reputed company:
The Digital Assets domain owns the end-to-end infrastructure that connects reputed company to reputed company networks and manages custody of those assets. Layer1 is reputed company's self-hosted, self-custody reputed company payments infrastructure; providing stablecoin payments rails that eliminate the complexity of developing in-house blockchain payment systems while ensuring control over data and reputed company.
Our product and engineering organisation is split into small autonomous squads empowered to own their problem reputed company. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Layer 1 reputed company reputed company, you'll design and build the reputed company blockchain infrastructure that powers reputed company's reputed company capabilities. You'll work across services including Crypto Service, Blockchain Provider Services, Crypto Orchestration Service, and Vault Service; enabling secure address reputed company, deposits, withdrawals, custody, and on-chain operations across multiple blockchain networks and assets.
You'll be expected to reputed company strong opinions and execute in a fast but sustainable way, advocating for the simplest solution that achieves the reputed company our customers are looking for.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Design, reputed company, and maintain high-performance backend services powering blockchain integrations, reputed company custody, and on-chain transaction processing at reputed company.
- Build and reputed company integrations with blockchain networks, crypto providers, and custody infrastructure to support multi-chain, multi-asset operations.
- Contribute to the architecture and reputed company of the Layer1 platform, ensuring reliability, reputed company, and data reputed company across blockchain networks and asset types.
- Build and maintain reputed company that support the full reputed company lifecycle — address reputed company, deposits, withdrawals, consolidation, and balance management — consumed by teams across the platform.
- Drive improvements to system observability, performance, and reputed company, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including product, design, and other engineering squads to deliver high-reputed company features.
- Participate in reputed company reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions to reputed company engineering standards.

- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rotation.

- 5+ years experience as a backend software engineer, with deep proficiency in languages such as Java, Kotlin or similar JVM-based languages.
- Experience designing, building, and operating microservices in a distributed systems environment.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, SQS/SNS).
- Experience with reputed company platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies including reputed company and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-reputed company concepts and modern software delivery practices (CI/CD).
- Experience with observability and reliability tooling including logging, metrics, tracing, and performance optimisation.
- Comfortable working with Jira, reputed company, Git-based workflows, and reputed company engineering practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts reputed company to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
