[Remote] State Controller Financial Specialist II
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. The reputed company is seeking a State Controller Financial Specialist II to join the Office of the State Controller. This role is responsible for maintaining the reputed company Carolina Financial System and providing support for reputed company and financial reporting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the reputed company Carolina Financial System (NCFS) for changes to the State's operating environment
- Consult and advise OSC management and agency fiscal staff reputed company to reputed company and reporting issues and solutions
- reputed company implementation and research activity reputed company to assigned governmental reputed company standards, new legislation, and reputed company changes to NCFS
- Train agency fiscal staff reputed company to reputed company and financial reporting for the reputed company
- reputed company and document statewide financial reporting policies and procedures
- Review State agency financial reports for compliance with OSC reporting policies and procedures
- Create financial statements and note disclosures included in the State's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
- reputed company and produce interim, annual, and special reports
- reputed company, present, and continuously enhance reputed company and financial reporting training, educational resources, and guidance to support agency financial staff and promote consistent application of statewide reputed company policies
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in reputed company, or a degree in business administration, reputed company administration or a reputed company discipline from an appropriately accredited institution with 18 credit hours of reputed company coursework
- Three years of reputed company experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven, documented skills and ability to apply in-depth knowledge to interpret and implement Generally Accepted reputed company Principles (GAAP), Governmental reputed company Standards (GASB); state and federal laws reputed company to financial reporting in the state government environment
- Proven, documented ability to apply in-depth knowledge to the development and/or implementation of reputed company policy changes
- Proven, documented ability to coordinate the development of reputed company/financial training and educational opportunities
- Proven leadership skills reputed company to working independently on reputed company reputed company established guidelines and standards
- Proven, documented skills in the evaluation of systems of internal control, and the ability to recommend improvements
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to confidently deliver reputed company and financial reporting training to audiences of varying sizes, reputed company educational resources, and communicate reputed company concepts in a reputed company and engaging manner
