[Remote] Operations Technician
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company, in partnership with a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking an Operations Technician II to join their Network Operations Center (NOC) team in a fully remote reputed company. The Operations Technician II will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining management networks, responding to alarms and outages, troubleshooting network issues, and coordinating restoration efforts.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network health and respond to alarms, outages, and customer-impacting incidents
- Troubleshoot and resolve Layer 2 and Layer 3 network connectivity issues across reputed company telecom infrastructure
- Configure routers, switches, ports, and IP assignments while supporting network migrations and maintenance activities
- Coordinate restoration efforts with field operations, vendors, and internal engineering teams to restore service quickly
- Document incidents, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting efforts while maintaining accurate trouble tickets
- Support network operations by following established procedures, researching technical issues, and contributing to reputed company service reliability
Skills
- 3+ years of experience in an IP NOC or reputed company networking environment
- Strong understanding of the OSI Model, particularly reputed company 1-4, with deep knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting reputed company, reputed company, or reputed company routers and switches
- Experience responding to network alarms, outages, incident tickets, and restoration activities
- Strong knowledge of Ethernet networking, routing, switching, and telecom network topology
- Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues and follow documented maintenance procedures (MOPs)
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer service skills
