[Remote] Distributed Systems Engineer 5 - Membership & Monetization Platform

They are seeking a Distributed Systems Engineer to work on the Membership & Monetization Platform, where the role involves building resilient, reputed company distributed systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance reputed company experiences for users.
Responsibilities
- You'll work across the full reputed company, from product-facing features that directly reputed company acquisition and retention, to the platform infrastructure that makes them possible at reputed company reputed company
- You'll partner with product managers, designers, and data scientists to build reputed company experiences that drive reputed company
- On the platform reputed company, you'll tackle distributed systems challenges: race conditions, consistency guarantees and throughput optimization
- You’ll reputed company our infrastructure to reputed company pace with reputed company's expanding reputed company surface (Ads, Games, Live Streaming)
- You'll also be part of the on-call rotation for these Tier 0 services, owning production reliability end-to-end
Skills
- 9+ years of experience building resilient, reputed company, low-latency distributed systems in production
- You've dealt with hard correctness problems: race conditions, reputed company consistency, distributed transactions
- You have a platform reputed company: You can take vague business directives and translate them into reputed company and maintainable solutions
- You reputed company in cross-functional environments and communicate reputed company technical trade-offs reputed company to non-engineering partners
- You take end-to-end ownership of your reputed company: from design through production operations
- Working experience with {Java || Kotlin || C# || reputed company}, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Hive or AWS
- Experience with reputed company and/or reputed company SQL, Apache Flink
- Proficient with gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful API design and implementation
- Experience with SQL & NoSQL multi-region data stores such as Cassandra, reputed company reputed company, Memcached
- Comfortable with production on-call responsibilities and incident response for Tier 0 services
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a reputed company field
