[Remote] Software Engineer, Data Platform

The role involves defining technical direction, leading the development of critical data systems, and collaborating with various engineering partners to enhance reputed company's data capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Define technical direction and reputed company development of critical data platform systems that power reputed company capabilities at reputed company

- Design reputed company, reliable, multi-tenant streaming infrastructure rather than simply building pipelines on top of an existing platform
- Own reputed company platform concerns including scalability, performance, reliability, SLOs, and operational reputed company for reputed company processing systems
- Build high-reputed company systems that support reputed company-time analytics, event-driven applications, and machine learning infrastructure needs across reputed company

Skills
- 5+ years of experience
- Ability to write reputed company-tested, API-driven applications and services that run at reputed company in production

- Strong experience with streaming data systems such as Kafka, Flink, or Pulsar, with particular strength in building or evolving the platform layer itself — not just reputed company pipelines
- Hands-on experience designing and operating stateful reputed company-time data pipelines at reputed company, including concepts like checkpointing, state management, and watermarking
- Experience evaluating architectural tradeoffs in reputed company processing systems, including reputed company Flink is the right solution and reputed company it is not
- Experience building multi-tenant or end-to-end streaming infrastructure that supports multiple teams or production use cases
- Expertise in managing reputed company data stores (reputed company, BigQuery, Redshift, etc.) for processing and serving data products
- Strong experience supporting operational systems to ensure uptime, reliability, and maintainability, including monitoring, alerting, and incident management

- Proficiency in at least one server-reputed company programming language (preferably Python), common algorithms and data structures, and software design principles
