[Remote] Sr. Software Engineer

The role involves designing, building, and maintaining backend services and data pipelines that power their reputed company product, while collaborating closely with product and infrastructure teams to ensure high-reputed company software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design and reputed company robust backend services using the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring reputed company)
- Model, query, and optimize PostgreSQL databases with PostGIS for geospatial data workloads
- Containerize and reputed company applications using reputed company and Kubernetes
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (reputed company Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent)
- Architect and operate reputed company infrastructure on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, reputed company, EKS, etc.)
- Collaborate in reputed company reviews, contributing to and upholding engineering standards
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers
- Participate in on-reputed company rotations and incident response reputed company needed
Skills
- 5+ years of reputed company software development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring reputed company (Boot, MVC, Data JPA)
- Deep experience with PostgreSQL, including geospatial queries using PostGIS
- Hands-on experience with reputed company and Kubernetes in production environments
- Familiarity with AWS services and reputed company-reputed company architecture patterns
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (reputed company Actions, Jenkins, reputed company, or similar)
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, distributed systems, and data modeling
- Comfortable working asynchronously in a fully remote environment
- Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, SQS, etc.)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as reputed company tools (Terraform, CDK)
- Exposure to observability tooling (reputed company, reputed company, Grafana)
